In 1987, after more than 20 years in banking, James D. (Jim) Masterson founded Bank Management Services to provide a variety of technical, administrative, operational, accounting, compliance and auditing services to privately held Kansas banks. Jim and his associates have focused on utilizing a problem solving approach to their services. They don’t just come in to your bank with a checklist, find things that are out-of-balance or out-of-compliance, write a report listing what they found and leave. No, for over 30 years they have been using their knowledge and expertise to teach bank employees what they need to know to do their jobs more efficiently and effectively. When Bank Management Services has completed its assignment, bankers and bank employees genuinely feel they have been helped. They often have new tools and a better understanding of the issues surrounding their jobs. They are better prepared for their next exam.

James D. (Jim) Masterson is the founder of Bank Management Services and provides extensive consulting to financial institutions, including directors’ examinations, BSA audits, IT audits and reviews, ACH audits, budgeting and financial planning, employee development and training and special project management. Mr. Masterson has over 30 years of banking, consulting and banker training experience
Prior associations include Central Bank and Trust, Muscatine, Iowa; Iowa Des Moines National Bank; Peoples Bank & Trust, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Cloud County Bank & Trust, Concordia, Kansas; Exchange Bank of Clyde, Clyde, Kansas; and Data Center Incorporated, Hutchinson, Kansas. He passed the Certified Public Accountant Examination in 1980. Mr. Masterson received a BS degree in Business Administration and Economics from Culver Stockton College, Canton, Missouri and a MBA degree from Drake University. Jim has served banks in a variety of capacities, including, teller, bookkeeper, proof operator, loan officer, branch manager, internal auditor, trust auditor, operations manager, chief financial officer and director. |
